ANTI-GUN GROUPS SAVOR PROMISED BIDEN GUN BANS

While they shied away from linking Biden to gun bans during the election cycle, national gun control groups over the weekend were quick to celebrate his anti-gun platform once the media declared his party the projected winner of the 2020 Presidential election.

Brady, Everytown, and Giffords all hailed announcements Saturday from the Associated Press, Reuters, and others that former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, both Democrats, would be the 46th President and 49th Vice President, respectively. While the groups spent ad dollars on the lead up to the election avoiding gun politics, instead opting to encourage early voting, slam President Trump for the COVID-19 response, and even profess to have many gun owners in their ranks, in the victory lap posts published by the groups this weekend, such pretense dropped away.
